We are using the rainbow behavior chart in class (just like last year) and are starting to keep track of how we finish each day. The monthly behavior chart should stay in your child's home folder until the end of the month. I will then ask you to sign it and return it to school. We will use a new chart for each month. This is a quick way to see how your child's day went at school. As always, if you have any questions at all, please let me know.
Today we took our first Mindful Brain Break. Each Tuesday all of second grade will take a break at the end of the day (10 minutes) to go outside. Everyone got a chance to go out today. In the future, anyone who ends any day on yellow, orange, or red during the week or forgets to bring back their homework will stay inside. Please help your child form a routine at home that helps them remember to bring back things such as homework, books, and folders.
